IMPORTANT DOCUMENT. PLEASE READ!

I, Amy Scott, also known as Famous Amos, do officially declare my intentions upon death to donate my skeleton, either complete or partial to the care of either Richard Osborne at Porterville College or Dr. Karin Enstam at Sonoma State University. Decisions upon who takes ownership will depend upon the following, (1) if the above-mentioned is still teaching at the above-mentioned institution; (2) must meet the need for skeletal remains for classroom instruction; (3) who will provide the best care; (4) whether or not I outlive the above-mentioned.

Please note that any attempts by the above-mentioned to hasten my death will account for disqualification and will void the above-mentioned from claiming any remains under this document.

OTHERWISE,

Whoever erects a statue of me in the following pose (see photo below) gets first dibs:

ONE DAY CLOSER TO GRADUATION

last night i went to the mission improv-able show in warren auditorium with mike and melissa. there were some good laughs, especially about the "you stepped on my toe, foo'" when the word tofu had to be used in the scene. all in all it was funny, and the blue team won this time.

we got our scores on our child dev quizzes and i missed 3 again, same as in quiz 1, but she gave us a freebie and so it was like i only missed 2. not too bad.

oh... the FBI came to my class yesterday. no, they weren't there looking for anyone. they came to talk to us about career opportunities within the FBI... i picked up some information for mary. now i just need to send it to her.

dr. john wingard gave a powerpoint presentation on his ethnographic field school in belize during our anthro club meeting, attempting to recruit students for this summer. he brought three ameci's pizzas, one pepperoni, one cheese, and one olive, and so there was plenty of pizza to go around. i think he knew my name or something, cause i could've sworn he said "amy, can you turn off the lights?" maybe i just heard him wrong though. i mean, he doesn't know who i am. i've never had a class with him and i've never even talked to him. oh well, perhaps i'll never know...

after class, i came back and after watching nothing really good on television, i finally got some shut eye and when i woke up, i was still sleepy... i just want to sleep, but now i probably won't be able to...

oh, but i received the article from mr. osborne and read it. if you find it, you should read it, "15 Answers to Creationist Nonsense" by John Rennie. it was in the july 2002 issue of Scientific American

TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!

so, last night i went to take back the night in the cooperage at 7pm. boy was that emotional. 12 girls shared their rape stories and then we had the chance to participate in a campus walk/march and chant and then paint our hand in paint and place it on a banner with our name. i still have green paint on my hands. anyways, i didn't get back until almost 10, and it wasn't until then that i realized, dang, i've been gone for 3 hours.

tonight they're having an improv show called mission improv-able in warren at 7:15pm. i might go to that. don't know for sure yet.

i just submitted my nomination for outstanding educator of the year. we'll see how that goes.

a nap sounds good. too bad there's nothing good on television. there never seems to be.

UPDATE

i get to play on the teeter totter! i'm meeting my friend shannon after her class at 5:20 tonight and we're going to go play, YAY! i can't wait!

DANG IT FEELS GOOD!

i'm so glad my test is behind me now. it took me an hour to complete, so i was finished by 2pm, not bad for a 302 exam. i feel pretty darn good about it though. there were 7 questions worth a total of 30 points. i'm pretty confident that i did well.

i'm also glad to have my child dev. quiz over and done with. that one had 31 multiple choice questions and we got to use a page of notes front and back, but i'm not sure i did very well on it. there were a few confusing questions...

they have the teeter totter out in the quad today. they're trying to raise money for cystic fibrosis, or so i've been told, and it'll be out there for 48 hours. you can play on it for as long as you want for only $1. can't beat that. plus, it's for a good cause. if i can convince someone to go out there with me, i'd like to try it out. sounds kinda fun. plus, this year they have better seats!

dang, i'm a sucker for chris carrabba and dashboard confessional. i'm always listening to them. you should listen to them too.

STUDY STUDY STUDY. NO MORE STUDY.

chris came up for a visit this past weekend and we had a fun time, even though he didn't get in until late friday night, or should i say super early saturday morning... his train was delayed about 2 1/2 hours and so he had to ride a cab. but the cool thing was that the cab driver brought him to the campus and i didn't have to bother wendy to get up and drive me over to the bus stop to pick him up, especially since she had to wake up early for work in the morning. anyways, i showed him around campus, we ate breakfast in the cafeteria, stopped by the lacrosse game and saw our guys score a point, and then came back. saturday night we ate mac and cheese and teriyaki chicken and then when wendy got back from work we went to blockbuster to rent billy madison (only one of the greatest quotable movies ever besides monty python and the holy grail), picked up some toilet paper, and got ice cream at coldstone before coming back and watching the movie and laughing our heads off.

the past couple of days my imaginary brain tumor has been enlarging and giving me a killer headache.

i finally finished my 8 page paper and did my notes for my child dev. quiz tomorrow. my group met in the library sunday and wrote up some interview questions for our video project. now i need to dedicate as much time studying for my anth 302 exam as i've spent doing nothing.

i hope i haven't blown my chance.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?

i just turned my computer on right now, which mean i had it off most of the day! aren't you proud of me???

i got out of class early today. i should've come back and been a good student and studied or read or worked on my 8-10 page paper that's due next week. however, i felt that i was too tired to do this stuff and slept for a couple of hours instead.

okay, and so maybe i watched a couple of movies on television as well... but i also did read some too, and it wasn't just reading... it was reading for class!

i'm trying to think of what else i have to say. i'm sure there's more, but i can't think of anything at the moment.

oh, but i made myself dinner tonight and it was super yummy. i georged (verb) some hamburger patties and some red onion, i sliced some tomatoes, and had a salad (with the good kind of lettuce). ;)

okay, if i think of anything else, i'll let you know. bye bye for now.

SEX SIGNALS

yael called me up and i went over to her house for dinner. she made raviolis that were really good with chicken and veggies and she, teresa, and i ate. then, i got to go to the rec center and got a free sticker after signing away my life. it's the first time i've officially been inside past the front. anyways, yael had to go get her bag that she left there. then, we went to the cooperage for the 7pm show "sex signals" brought to the campus by safe and some other organizations and it consisted of a man named christian and a woman named kelly who did improv on sexual assault prevention. just follow the above link to their site to find out more information about their show...

yayayay! class is cancelled tomorrow!!! i get to sleep in!

COOKING FOOL

tonight i made macaroni and cheese, and it wasn't the kraft kind. nope, instead, i found myself a recipe online which called for a pound of noodles, which of course meant, A LOT of macaroni and cheese. but hey, it only called for elbow noodles, cheddar cheese, flour, butter, and milk... all ingredients that can be found in our kitchen. and hey, it was pretty darn good!

last night, wendy and i made easy blueberry crunch after getting the sample at trader joe's during our irresponsible day after going to applebee's. that was pretty darn good too! especially with vanilla ice cream... oh so good.

i just got my copy of ratfe's song's not to get married to. perhaps uncle rusty and "almost" aunt pat will take the title's advice and not use any of the songs during their wedding. i also got a free rafte shirt with my order. pretty darn cool, eh? it has a train with a face on it in white on a navy blue shirt. i'm going to wear it tomorrow.

today was myLove's irresponsible day, but he found out that he didn't like irresponsible day because he found himself doing nothing. i, of course, watched television most of the day for my irresponsible day. of course, i watched movies that had been shown and wendy and i had watched the previous day... oh the joys of seeing the same movies all the time on tnt. this time it was you've got mail, the divine secrets of the ya ya sisterhood, and miss congeniality... thus i am so tired tonight.

if only i can stay away from the cinnamon almonds.

OH HOW I HATE THEE CINGULAR

let me just reiterate how much i hate cingular! i HATE CINGULAR!!! they are horrible horrible. they are worse than any other company i have called the devil! sometimes when i answer my phone, i can't hear the person on the other line. now my phone has decided that even though i've entered peoples names and numbers, when some people call me from that number, their name won't pop up and so i don't know who's calling me. now, i learned that it costs 10 cents per text message, whether or not it is sent or received, or if cingular sends you junk messages. you're freaken paying for junky messages that they send to you! my disgust can reach no further at this point...gRRRRRRRRR!!!

SOME GOOD NEWS I HAVE YET TO SHARE WITH Y'ALL

that's right, there's some good news... a few days ago uncle rusty asked pat to marry him and she said yes. then they went out and chose a ring. they're official now and we very happy for them. yay! almost aunt pat is now almost aunt pat!

ATTACK OF THE RAIN

huge colossal sized raindrops fell from the sky attacking anyone outdoors. thus the consequences of getting out of class early. and then just like that, it the attack stopped and the sun showed its face.

i missed 3 problems on my quiz. not too bad.

DUMB QUIZ

26 questions later, i have finished my quiz for child development. now we must wait around to work on chapter projects. what a waste... i wish i were working alone...

SHORT TEST

i finished my test in about 30 minutes. it mostly seemed harmless. unless she wanted me to explain more on some of the answers, then i should have only missed a few points total. we shall know in about a week...

CINGULAR? DREAMS OR NIGHTMARES?

okay, so i've said it before... cingular is the devil, but now my phone decided that it wanted to exclusively say cingular a couple of days ago, so i won't complain... as long as it still works the same.

also... i keep having dreams, or should i say nightmares? that i am either late to class, don't make it to class, or am late turning in my work... i should really finish those papers for tuesday and then study some for thursday's test... perhaps that would ease the dreams for a bit.
