THIS WEEK'S UPDATE

tues:
anth 318: "ah you're so nice, you're like the blackboard eraser" --karin (after i erased the board after class)
psy 410: lost as ever.
anth 302: exam 1. it was quite a bit of writing. i totally blanked on the last question, but guessed. after checking, i found out that my guess was correct. of course i didn't write much about it cause i wasn't sure if it was correct. so hopefully i'll get some points outta answering it. hey, it pays to not leave anything blank. before the exam, kim and i were talking about how we like to sit in the same seat in class and i was saying how thrown off i get if someone takes my seat. karin understood how pissed you can get at that person for taking your seat. grrr! don't take my seat!
after class wendy and i went to take the collegiate learning assessment, an online test in which we had to write an essay and then reply to a statement. but hey, we made $20 for just 90 minutes of our time. hey, we couldn't pass up making an easy $20. by the way, if anyone has a test like that they'll pay me to take, then hey, sign me up. wendy found out she got the job at the jewelry store. congrats to wendy wendy wendy horn. later that night, we decided to spend part of our money and ordered take-out from bakers square. boy do i love their mixed grill, yum yum!

wed:
psy 490: we had two guest speakers, the first talked about career services and the second about sports psychology. both quite interesting.

thurs:
anth 318: we had to count ourselves out into groups (of 7) and for about half the class, i had to sit in the back corner. ugh!
psy 410: still lost a bit, but we got a little more explanation that made some sense. we have three different assignments, two of which are group projects with different groups. it's just kinda a lot to think about at this time... most of class was spent in our pbl groups in which we have to make up a portfolio on our topics (ours is gangs) and take notes for an individual paper to turn in. the worst part of this is that it's due in two weeks, not giving us much time to spend on it.
lunch turned in my psi chi application today with the check for $55. ah it was so hard parting with that money...
psy 302: the projector died halfway through lecture, which meant that karin had to use the board, which was kinda difficult to follow with the printed lecture notes. after lecture, we watched the film different but equal put out by the learning channel. let me just say that it was quite an interesting film. there were lots of boobs and nasty women who were super muscly body builders. but it was also interesting too. when she asked if we wanted to finish the film next class, one of the guys quickly replied, "yes!" before anyone else and we all knew why he wanted to see the rest of it...

other things i've been working on updating my site so check it out here.

latest teachings... we learned a bit about twins and homosexuality today. part of what we talked about was the difference between identical and fraternal twins. karin has a twin brother. yep, you learn something new every day.

song lyric/quote of the moment... "so sick, so sick of being tired, and oh so tired of being sick..." -tbs
