HALLOWEEN AND TIME CHANGE
and don't forget, tomorrow isn't only halloween, but time changes as well. so everyone, if you haven't already yet, set your clocks back an hour and get that extra hour of sleep.
remember when they had the time change on april fools? that would've been the ultimate april fools joke, eh? i mean, everyone would've fallen for it, right? but then again, that's my sense of humor...
nighty night.

AND WTF IS THIS???
From: Shadak Shari
This letter may come to you as a surprise due to the
fact that we have not yet met. I have to say that I
have no intentions of causing you any pains so i
decided to contact you through this medium .
As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for
me, because, I believe everyone will die someday.
My name is Shadak Shari, a merchant in Dubai, in the
U.A.E. I have been diagnosed with prostate and
esophageal Cancer that was discovered very late
due to my laxity in caring for my health. It has
defiled all form of medicine and right now, I have
only about a few months to live according to medical
experts.
I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I
never really cared for anyone not even myself but
my business. Though I am very rich, I was never
generous, I was always hostile to people and only
focus on my business as that was the only thing I
cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know
that there is more to life than just wanting to
have or make all the money in the world. I believe
when God gives me a second chance to come to this
world I would live my life a different way from
how I have lived it. Now that I know my time is
near, I have willed and given most of my properties
and assets to my immediate and extended family members
and as well as a few close friends and Schools in
the UAE. I have decided to give alms to charity
organizations, as I want this to be one of the last
good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed
money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E,
London and Ireland. Now that my health has deteriorated
so badly, I cannot do this my self any more. I once
asked members of my family to close one of my accounts
and donate the money, which I have there to charity
organization in Bulgaria, they refused and kept the
money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them
anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what
I have left for them. The last of my money which is
the huge cash deposit that I have with Financial
Firm Abroad .I will want you to help me collect this
deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations
and let them know that it is I Shadak Shari that is
making this generous donation.
I am writing this from my laptop computer in my hospital
bed where I wait for my time to come. I pray that God
uses you to support and assist me with good heart
God be with you.

BANGME THEN A BAKE SALE
so, today's class was actually well worth going to. i almost decided not to go, since we had a bake sale for the anthro club from 10-2. however, i'm glad that my anal feeling of "i have to go to class" won out because i got some good laughs in. so, two girls did their presentation on internet dating and another girl from class mentioned a site called bangme that's online that her friends use. so, since there was quite a bit of interest in finding out all about this site, we decided to devote some class time to visiting the site and checking it out. another girl got up and tried to type in the address, but a list of a bunch of porn sites came up and some had quite interesting names, not to be mentioned here. so, the girl that told us about the site called up her friend and asked her what the address to the site was and when we found this out, we went there and started banging girls, guys, two for one specials... she ended up calling her back and asking her what her and her boyfriend's screennames were so we could go check them out. we banged the two of them. the guys were pretty funny when they saw a girl they liked. and it was also quite interesting that when we saw someone with a cat, we would bang them because of the cat. well, this was such a hit that we continued it thoughout the break and then for a while after we came back from break until victor told us that we could spend five more minutes at it if we wanted to and then got to a point at which he allowed us ten more bangs, half of which were wasted away quickly. he finally got the the point that he said we had to choose the last one on the page we were at (even though there were only like three more pages) and so we went through almost the entire amount of people from san francisco, which was around 37 pages.
i found it to be quite interesting what kind of people other people were interested in banging, or even looking at. one of the guys liked younger looking girls (the ones that looked like they were 14 or 15 years old).
if you ever want some entertainment, just visit bangme.
okay, so our bakesale was kinda long for a bake sale, but there was so much stuff that people brought that there was just as much stuff when we cleaned up as there was on the table when they had set up. we sold quite a bit of stuff, but people had made and brought so much stuff that there we could've had another whole bake sale or two. so, i helped clean up, meanwhile missing group, but after everyone had taken what they wanted, there was still a box of goodies that we took up to the anthro department to leave. the cash box was closed and somehow locked with the keys inside, so we didn't get to find out how much we made. they called the locksmith up, but couldn't get ahold of him. just as long as we don't have to use the money to pay for a new cash box... hopefully someone will be able to get it open...

THE RIGHT KIND OF GUY
last night we had married couples as guest speakers in my development of the person class. they had some good insight to being married as well as some pretty funny and heartwarming stories. however, one of the most touching things said was actually by our prof during lecture. she was telling us about how she and her husband lived together before getting married and how he had sent his parents a picture of her and they didn't really like her much. she said that when he talked to them, he told them, "if you ever make me choose between dana and you guys, you're going to lose."
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVORITE UNCLE
today is uncle rusty's birthday. for everyone who doesn't know uncle rusty, he's the uncle that my love is living with. i'm glad that my love went to live with uncle rusty, because he's a great person. not only is he my favorite uncle, but he is one of my heroes.
i even told my love that he can't move anytime soon, because then i wouldn't get to go see uncle rusty all the time. you know what he said? he said that we could go visit, but not "every day."
so uncle rusty, have a wonderful birthday today!

CLASS, NO CLASS
so, i printed out my paper to turn in today and then went to class. well, two different ladies stuck their head in the door and told us that victor was going to be late cause he got a flat tire, so wait for him. well, the first one said to wait. the second said to start class without him. start class without our professor? umm... so, we sat there and talked to each other or whatever, passed around a sign-in sheet, and after we were there for over half an hour, one of the girls collected the papers and took them and the sign-up sheet to put in his box. meanwhile, most of us took off, and as i was walking back, i ran into victor and so i followed him back up to class along with two other girls from the class who we met on the stairs and then when we got back, there were still some people there, so we decided to talk about the measures on the ballot and then ran out of time before discussing all them.
so yeah, we ended up having class, but we didn't have actual class. yay!

I SURVIVED MY TEST... SO FAR...
so, i just got out of my forensic anthro test about 10 minutes or so ago and it wasn't too bad. that is, if i did it right. see, i don't know if i answered what she was asking. i guess i'll just have to wait and find out and pray in the meantime.
we also signed up for presentation topics and times. i signed up for the first date, which was listed as dec 6. but then i noticed that dec 6 was on a monday and i don't want to do my presentation on a monday. anyways, so i told her about it and she changed it to the 7th. i'm still excited cause i get to do my presentation on kennewick man.
anyways, now i have to get caught up in all the rest of my classes that i put off for this test. i have a paper due at 10 and i'm hoping to get that finished before i head out. otherwise, i'll have to remember to turn it in on thursday (with no late penalty of course).

WENDY'S BIRTHDAY
so, yesterday was my roommate wendy's birthday. happy birthday one day late wendy!!!
thursday night we told wendy that we were going to go out to dinner to celebrate her birthday, but we had really planned a surprise party at yael's at 7pm. well, so wendy, her friend jonathan, and i went grocery shopping before we were to meet and we took a super long time. we got more stuff than we've ever gotten before and jonathan ended up spending like $250 on groceries and stuff. he filled up a cart all to himself and had more stuff than wendy and i had in our cart that we were sharing. anyways, so not only did we take a long time in the store, but we took a long time checking out since we also had to bag all the groceries and then help jonathan take his groceries up three flights of stairs before we could come back and carry two loads of our own groceries and put them away all before getting ready to go to yael's. meanwhile, we were in touch with yael, who was becoming impatient and wanting us to hurry since they were hungry. so, after being like an hour or so late, since we had to wait a few minutes for jonathan, we finally made our way to yael's. we ate dinner and played two rounds of pin the tail on the donkey, which was lots of fun. yael made a homemade cake and we ate that and ice cream and then she had to kick us out since she still had stuff to do and then wake up super early to be in napa to watch four hours of surgery.
so yeah, that was wendy's surprise birthday party.
yesterday morning it was raining, ick. bri came by early so we could walk over to take the wept at 8:30am. the girl there scared us, but when we actually took it, it didn't seem to be so bad. bri and i ended up choosing the same question and writing similar things. anyways, so we finished that and hoped we passed and then made our way back to the apartment. by this time, wendy was up and she opened her cards and gifts and then we went to mcdonalds to get breakfast on our way to the city. well, it was raining and kinda bad on our way to the city, but we made it there alright and went to the exploratorium. that was fun. there was so much to do there, we didn't get to see everything, and if you ever go, might i suggest you don't look in the eyepiece that says to look in it and push the button that triggers a super bright flash of light. i accidentally pressed it a second time, which, one was enough to blind me in the first place and yeah, i couldn't see for quite a while after that. bri did it too and she had much the same experience that i had. wendy, luckily, did not do that one. but yeah, you might not want to do that one cause i ended up getting a bad headache between my eyes and after finishing the visual section that was way too visually stimulating, i felt dizzy and lightheaded. so, when we went upstairs, bri and i had to sit down and rest while wendy went and checked things out. when wendy had seen the things she had wanted, we decided we were wall hungry and went back downstairs to get something to eat. i got a hot dog, chips, and a soda. it was pretty good. i hadn't had a hot dog in a while. not since they had free ones here at school. afterwards, we made our way out and over to the japanese tea gardens, where wendy really wanted to go. we spent about an hour there and then came back to the apartment and had cake (a really yummy strawberry cake with strawberries that wendy helped me make and let me frost the day before) before bri had to leave for home.
so, i hope that wendy had a good fun birthday this year. we haven't even broken open the sparkling cider yet...

CAKE, FOOD, AND RENT
we had cake today at our anthro club meeting. karin's mom made a halloween cake with sprinkles and orange frosting. yum yum. so yeah, that was my lunch. well, then i was on my way to class when i ran into a bunch of tables set up with food from different clubs. i went to class, turned in my assignment and signed in, and then i left and got some garlic bread, chow mein, and a cup of horchata.
oh, and guess how much an apartment here costs per month...

LAST WEEKEND WITH MY LOVE BEFORE TWO WEEKENDS WITHOUT SEEING HIM
so, this past weekend was the last weekend that i got to be with my love before these next two weekends that i'm staying here for wendy's birthday and halloween.
uncle rusty and pat picked me up at the train station on thursday and i got two hugs from uncle rusty since i didn't get my hug the week before. then, we went to eat at the olive garden where the girl there welcomed us and was telling her friend that uncle rusty and pat come in all the time and they're some of the best customers. when we got to the house, i found a surprise on the bed. my love had laid out a rose, card, fortune cookie, and two sweetheart candies (one said love you, the other said cutie pie) on the bed. i waited for my love to get home before i moved anything.
my love had friday off and we were thinking about going to the movies, but instead, we went to eat at red robin after class and then went back home.
saturday my love had to work. i made spaghetti.
sunday we went to church with uncle rusty and colleen and saw pat and my love's girlfriend, who thought my name was kim and gave us hugs. she especially wanted a hug from my love. afterward we talked to the paster a bit before leaving to eat at a mexican food restaurant close by. then, since it was aunty virginia's birthday, we stopped by the cemetary for a bit before going home. my love had to go to work at 3.
monday we went to school, got chili at wendys before going to in-n-out to eat, and by the time we got back, it was about time for me to leave. i was sad again though cause not only was i not going to see my love the next two weekends, but uncle rusty wasn't there so i couldn't say goodbye to him or give him a hug before leaving.
the train was close to being on time. the bus left on time. it got to rp on time.
wendy and i went by wal-mart again after she picked me up. she had to get a new printer and i picked up some food and ice cream, the oreo kind this time.
oh yeah, wendy's printer was only $35 and came with an ink cartridge and some photo paper. after realizing that this was less than it would cost for the ink, i told her that instead of buying an ink cartridge, she should buy a whole new printer when she runs out of ink. then, she could sell the printer on ebay. not only would it save her money by being cheaper, but she might make a few bucks out of it as well... just a thought.

I JUST GOT OUT OF CLASS!!!
so, i bet you're wondering why i'm posting a blog to my site at this time cause hey, you're saying, shouldn't she be in class now? well, i'm glad you're all asking, cause i got out early tonight. we had a quiz (it wasn't so bad), and since our prof accidentally slammed her hand in a trap door of some sort, she let us go after we finished the quiz. :-D
sooooo.... while it's messed up that she slammed her hand in the trap door, it's totally SUPER that we got out of class early!

SPENDING TIME IN BRENTWOOD WITH MY LOVE
i already miss my love, even though i was just with him this last weekend. i'm happy that i get to go see him in a couple of days though.
my love got to pick me up from the train station since he didn't have to work on thursday. we ate at carl's jr., where i hadn't eaten in quite a while. my love also had friday off as well and so we went over to walnut creek after class so my love could take his laptop in to be fixed. we ate at the california pizza kitchen and it was really good. plus, even though the waitress talked fast, she was nice and even told us how to say thank you in korean. we split a pizza and slice of cheesecake before going back to brentwood for colleen's birthday party that uncle rusty went all out on in planning and making nice. fewer people came than what he was expecting, so there was plenty of food, but it was nice. mostly family. on saturday, we went to blockbuster and rented girl, interrupted, which i had to watch for class, and the omega code, a movie about the bible code that kevin wanted to see. instead of paying the $4 per movie, we opted for the manager's special of two movies, two drinks, a candy, and a bag of popcorn. we chose our stuff out and paid and decided to eat the popcorn while watching the omega code. well, my love opened it up and several kernels fell out onto the ground. so, he threw those away and put the bag in the microwave for 4 minutes. well, we stood in front of the microwave for the last 2 of those minutes, noticing and wondering why no kernels were popping. when the 4 minutes were up, we took the bag out and noticed that there was no popcorn in the bag, only butter. so, after cracking up, we went back over to blockbuster, told the girl the story, and picked out another bag of popcorn, this time checking to make sure it had the actual popcorn in it. after the movie, kevin had to go to work and i read and worked on homework. sunday, uncle rusty woke us up and we went to church with him and colleen. afterward, he took us all out to the olive garden. i got the never-ending pasta bowl and couldn't even get seconds cause it filled me up. when we got back home, kevin had to get ready for work and so i watched my movie. on monday, we went to school and i got to eat my egg sandwich and then i worked on my paper and made a couple of duct tape wallets. when kevin got out of class, we went to the subway across the street and then by the time we got back home, it was about time for me to be taken back to the train station. :( but at least my love got to take me since he doesn't have to work on mondays anymore. however, i was still sad cause i didn't get to tell uncle rusty bye and i was leaving my love. anyways, it's only a couple more days and then the next couple of weekends after that i don't know what i'll do since i won't be seeing my love. at least it'll be wendy's birthday and then halloween. that should give me something to do...

GOOD IMPRESSION
so, i went by today and finally talked to tricia, the lady in charge of the office of campus life i needed to see to start updating the anthro club site. i asked her where i could get the university web policy to read before signing the papers and she told me i could find it online. so, on my lunch break, i found and read the policy and on my way to class, i stopped by and had her sign my paper. she was quite impressed that i had read it before signing it and bringing it to her. she told the other people there that i was the first and only person to ever ask about reading the policy before signing and bringing it to her. after class, i took the paperwork to IT and they set me all up. i just have to wait a couple of days for them to put it into the system.

DUCT TAPE WALLETS
i picked up some duct tape yesterday, the duck brand, both the grey and also red. i made myself a wallet last night out of the red tape. it turned out pretty well. i made another red one and a grey one today. if you'd like me to make one for you, they're $5 for grey and $6 for any other color. i'll try to upload some pictures of what they look like. you can email me here for more information.

GLAD THE WEEKEND IS OVER
this past weekend was a long, long weekend. i'm just glad that it's finally over. here's a better idea of what happened...
it started out on thursday as i waited and waited and waited for the amtrak bus. a black guy named levi came and waited with me. i got there about 4:10 since i rode the county transit bus and levi had gotten there about 5 minutes after i did. we waited until around 5pm and finally decided to give amtrak a call, not believing we had missed the bus (the bus NEVER gets there early). levi finally got through and after being put on hold for about 20 minutes, found out that the bus had broken down in santa rosa. well, by this time, it was going to be about impossible to make it to martinez in time to make the train. meanwhile, he called some friends and asked them if they would take him. when we found out that the bus wasn't coming and we were going to miss the train, levi asked me if i would like to catch a ride with them. he told me, "i know it might be scary riding with strangers, but we're leaving now, and if you'd like to come with us, we're going to the train station." i had no time to think, so i grabbed my stuff and followed him. he introduced me to his friends, well, his friend and his friend's girlfriend, who drove. we had to get gas and then we headed on our way. we were stuck in traffic around petaluma and levi gave amtrak another call to find out if we were going to make the train or not. they told us that they would be unable to hold the train, but that they'd find transportation for us somehow. well, we ended up missing the train by about 20 minutes and had to wait for 30 minutes to an hour for a cab to bring the people who had been on the bus that had broken down. the amtrak lady gave us both $20 vouchers to use for our next trip, which i can use this weekend when i go see my love and so it'll be free. ;) levi was upset and argued with her for a bit and she gave him a hard time since he isn't registered to vote. however, i was extremely grateful that they were still going to get us to our destinations that night (since that was the last san joaquin train that day). so, i bought a chicken salad sandwich at the food place at the station and waited for the other people to get there. when they did, i saw priscilla, a friend from high school who works as a manager at the theatre. she and her son were coming back from visiting her boyfriend at humboldt state and were on the bus when it broke down. from her, i found out that the reason the bus broke down was because the driver had backed up and hit something and kept going. it had scraped the oil pan and all the oil leaked out and broke down. they had to wait on the bus for about an hour before a cab came to get them. well, we finally loaded our stuff into the van we were to take and found that there was one more person than there were seats. the cab driver was going to make us squeeze four people in the back, even though three could barely fit, but then they decided to get a cab and send the two fresno people in the cab. however, we still had to stuff everyone in the van to get over to the cab station. everyone was hungry, except me since i had eaten, so we stopped at in n out to grab a bite to eat and then we traded drivers and levi went in the cab with the two ladies who were going to fresno since he was going to bakersfield and the cab was going to fresno and bakersfield. our van, on the other hand, was headed to hanford and corcoran and we got the other driver, who ended up being a really nice guy. i still don't know what religion he is from though. he had a long beard, wore an all white gown and clothes, a white hat on his head and he had beads around his neck that he held about an hour of driving as he either recited prayer or sang or something quietly. so, we took the 5, stopping at harris ranch to get gas, which was super expensive, about $2.37 a gallon. we only got enough to get us to our destinations, but we had to get some cause we must've been running on fumes. it was really empty. so, we dropped priscilla and her son and the other girl off at hanford, and then had to find our way to the corcoran station, where mom was waiting. so mostly we talked on the way from hanford to corcoran. we got there maybe 12:30?, 12:45? then had to drive to porterville. unfortunately, our driver had to drive all the way back to martinez, where his wife was waiting for him and he said he didn't want to get into trouble with her. so yeah, thursday was a long day.
friday morning, mom woke me up and asked me if i wanted to go to johnny's school with her since she had to hand out the band's sweatshirts so they'd have them for the football game that night. so, we got breakfast at mcdonalds and then headed over to cesar chavez high school in delano. the band room is so nice. the storage is wonderful. there's several large rooms that can be used as storage, a bunch of instruments that aren't even opened yet, and cubbies for instruments, backpacks, etc. some of the instrument cubbies look like animal cages. haha. plus, the kids were really nice. the band sounded awesome. we handed out the sweatshirts and then when johnny had to go over to richgrove, we went over there so mom could do some stuff there. i got to eat some cafeteria food at richgrove. it was good, too. it's all homemade, so it was better than the cafeteria food from elementary school and middle school. homemade burritos, salad, and homemade macaroni salad. yumyum! plus a cookie. a bargain for only $2. however, there were many flies in the bandroom and so we took turns swatting flies. we spent some time there and i helped mom with some lists on the computer. we didn't get home until around 5:30pm, and then we were off again to the carb up dinner for relay for life. it was also granite hills' homecoming game against monache, so there were lots of cars in the parking lots. the carb up dinner went well though, and then micah and stacey came and kidnapped me and took me to stacey's house. stacey's car died and so they got a pt cruiser, and i got to ride in it. ;) i also got to see mommy and meet papa, their new taco bell doggie. then, we went back to the high school and showed mommy their car and then they kidnapped me again and we went to denny's. we were going to go to the new black bear diner, which opened where ryan's used to be, but there was a long wait and so we went to denny's instead, where i got to see katie. we took stupid pictures with our phones, then finished and they took me back since stacey had to work in the morning.
saturday morning, woke up early, but not too early, for the relay and spent the entire time there. yes, i spent the night again this year, not like last year when mom sent us home for the night. but yes, i did get some sleep. i slept in the pc camp. the relay was really nice this year. i got to visit with angelica's parents, who even danced when nostalgia played. saw some friends and people i haven't seen in a while. saw lukie davis and dang has he grown. i even walked some with connie and tyler late at night. connie said something about anthropology and tyler told her to say that in layman's terms. well, connie's last name is layman, so she did say it in layman's terms. after that after any of us said anything, i would ask her to repeat that in layman's terms and she would say something funny. got to see mr. and mrs. osborne. nana came by during the day. she didn't want to jump in the bounce house with me so i didn't go. saw vince. walked some with susan regier and her son and talked to her. the lunch was kinda sorry this year. mom's entertainment lunch was better than the other. they only got half a sandwich a handful of pretzels, and a soda. we had a whole sandwich, bag of chips, candy, grapes, bananas, and a soda. dinner was pretty good though. it wasn't too bad. they raised a whole lot of money. a whole load...
on sunday, nate woke up the entire neighborhood with his "quiet" "easy to listen to" music that was SUPER loud. i walked some with paula and talked to her. the turnout on sunday was awesome. never has there been that many people on sunday. i have a picture if you would like to see... after cleaning up, which didn't take too long since we didn't have to take down the stage or canopies other than the pc one, mom, johnny, and i went to eat breakfast in springville before returning home and crashing for the day. at least that's what i did. i slept until my love called and woke me up and then i slept again until dad called and woke me up again.
monday went by the college and saw more people. went to the ptk meeting and they had cupcakes for rene's birthday, which was on the 2nd. i ate two cause mr. goode didn't want his. saw my best friend ke11y. i got my anthro club shirt from mr. osborne. saw my friend nickie that i had tutored. she had had a stroke and is recovering from that. we had a good conversation though.
anyways, we just finished watching some lesbian flick on tv. ya know, i have to watch something like that every once in a while. it turns me on.
it started out on thursday as i waited and waited and waited for the amtrak bus. a black guy named levi came and waited with me. i got there about 4:10 since i rode the county transit bus and levi had gotten there about 5 minutes after i did. we waited until around 5pm and finally decided to give amtrak a call, not believing we had missed the bus (the bus NEVER gets there early). levi finally got through and after being put on hold for about 20 minutes, found out that the bus had broken down in santa rosa. well, by this time, it was going to be about impossible to make it to martinez in time to make the train. meanwhile, he called some friends and asked them if they would take him. when we found out that the bus wasn't coming and we were going to miss the train, levi asked me if i would like to catch a ride with them. he told me, "i know it might be scary riding with strangers, but we're leaving now, and if you'd like to come with us, we're going to the train station." i had no time to think, so i grabbed my stuff and followed him. he introduced me to his friends, well, his friend and his friend's girlfriend, who drove. we had to get gas and then we headed on our way. we were stuck in traffic around petaluma and levi gave amtrak another call to find out if we were going to make the train or not. they told us that they would be unable to hold the train, but that they'd find transportation for us somehow. well, we ended up missing the train by about 20 minutes and had to wait for 30 minutes to an hour for a cab to bring the people who had been on the bus that had broken down. the amtrak lady gave us both $20 vouchers to use for our next trip, which i can use this weekend when i go see my love and so it'll be free. ;) levi was upset and argued with her for a bit and she gave him a hard time since he isn't registered to vote. however, i was extremely grateful that they were still going to get us to our destinations that night (since that was the last san joaquin train that day). so, i bought a chicken salad sandwich at the food place at the station and waited for the other people to get there. when they did, i saw priscilla, a friend from high school who works as a manager at the theatre. she and her son were coming back from visiting her boyfriend at humboldt state and were on the bus when it broke down. from her, i found out that the reason the bus broke down was because the driver had backed up and hit something and kept going. it had scraped the oil pan and all the oil leaked out and broke down. they had to wait on the bus for about an hour before a cab came to get them. well, we finally loaded our stuff into the van we were to take and found that there was one more person than there were seats. the cab driver was going to make us squeeze four people in the back, even though three could barely fit, but then they decided to get a cab and send the two fresno people in the cab. however, we still had to stuff everyone in the van to get over to the cab station. everyone was hungry, except me since i had eaten, so we stopped at in n out to grab a bite to eat and then we traded drivers and levi went in the cab with the two ladies who were going to fresno since he was going to bakersfield and the cab was going to fresno and bakersfield. our van, on the other hand, was headed to hanford and corcoran and we got the other driver, who ended up being a really nice guy. i still don't know what religion he is from though. he had a long beard, wore an all white gown and clothes, a white hat on his head and he had beads around his neck that he held about an hour of driving as he either recited prayer or sang or something quietly. so, we took the 5, stopping at harris ranch to get gas, which was super expensive, about $2.37 a gallon. we only got enough to get us to our destinations, but we had to get some cause we must've been running on fumes. it was really empty. so, we dropped priscilla and her son and the other girl off at hanford, and then had to find our way to the corcoran station, where mom was waiting. so mostly we talked on the way from hanford to corcoran. we got there maybe 12:30?, 12:45? then had to drive to porterville. unfortunately, our driver had to drive all the way back to martinez, where his wife was waiting for him and he said he didn't want to get into trouble with her. so yeah, thursday was a long day.
