WEEKEND IN MODESTO

this weekend has been spent with my dad and shar in modesto. i got here on thursday night and i'll be leaving shortly, as the train leaves just a few minutes before 2pm. friday night we went to oakland to see a warriors game, the first professional basketball game i've seen thus far in my life. they played the wizards and won with a score of 99. i only remember this because if the team scores 100 points or more, then everyone gets a free chili dog. the crowd was booing the player who held on to the ball the last 20 seconds of the game. they were all for the free chili dogs that no one got because they didn't break 100 points. saturday we went to sacramento to julie's baptism. it was really nice and we got to meet her friends and her roommate who loves to talk. then, we went out to eat lunch afterward at this cool italian restaurant that had hecka good food. dad and shar made dinner for me while i was here and i got to see dad put together one of his inspections on the computer. i also spent a lot of time getting caught up on my reading and stuff. slept in all weekend. probably cause the room i slept in was really dark and so i still thought it was really early at 11am. anyways, good times. i should come to modesto more often to get out of my room and to visit dad and shar. i had a lot of fun and i am really looking forward to thursday, when i will make my way to the arms of my love for spring break.

DAVID'S TALK TODAY

today's david's talk at noon. if you're in porterville, then you shouldn't miss it. i'm not in porterville, so i'm going to miss it. go, or i won't be your friend anymore. tell me about it, but don't brag, cause i'm going to miss it.

WEEKEND TO MODESTO AND SAC

this weekend i'm heading down to modesto on thursday after group to stay with dad and shar and ride to sac with them on saturday to see julie and be there to support her when she is baptized into the mormon church. yeah, you heard correctly, julie's being baptized. which leaves me as the only one who hasn't been baptized, but i don't feel too bad about it, so you shouldn't either. so that makes four weekends of me being gone, or at least not here in rp. it'll be cool, cause i'll get to spend time with dad and shar, see mom and johnny, and be there to support julie in something that is very important to her. dad and shar are even taking me to a basketball game on friday night. it's been quite a while since i've last been to a basketball game, so i'm looking forward to it.

best thing of all... when i come back on monday, it'll only be three more days before i get to be in the arms of my love again. =n)

AMY IN PORTERVILLE THREE WEEKENDS IN A ROW?

that's right, you read correctly. i'll be in porterville for spring break from april 1st through the 12th, and then i'll be back down again the 15th through the 19th, since paty and astrid paid for my train ticket down to go to their grandma's birthday party on the 17th. i felt special that they thought enough of me to invite me to their "family reunion." so, between, i'll be up here for only about three days, just long enough to attend my three days of classes. lots of train traveling, but life's a journey, eh?

MY BAD

i think i've spent more eating out this week than i have eating out the rest of the semester. ameci's yesterday and chicken tenders and fries from the pub today, then going out to dinner at el torito with bri and wendy tonight. i think i need to go grocery shopping and eat at home more. however, wendy and i still want to go have breakfast in the cafeteria sometime this semester. i mean, hey, we gotta at least once this year...

YESTERDAY, THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY, THE DAY BEFORE THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY...

awesome weekend.

started out on thursday when wendy dropped me off at the bus stop around 4pm and waited for the amtrak bus to make its appearance. found out that lucinda was riding the train down too. we spent the bus ride talking and getting to know each other, finally. it took us going through high school and porterville college and finally moving up here to attend sonoma state to finally talk on a train ride down to porterville. we rode the train together and promised to meet up on the ride back up, as we both found we would be riding on the same train again. arrived a bit late, but my love was there waiting for me, as always. drove to town, stopped by and visited with mommy and daddy before making it home finally. even though it was late, mom still woke up to let us in. johnny had already left to sacramento.

friday morning was spent at the cafeteria eating victoria's yummy breakfast with old friends. amir and setareh brought natalie, her boyfriend, and her cousin, and mr. osborne was there between classes. what a reunion! shawn showed up and said he had just read my email the day before. we all caught up and shared old stories. one thing that cap't toe mentioned was how amazing it was that the three of us, me, her, and amir, had all actually found someone. boy, we thought that no one would put up with us. the tone took a nose dive as creepy shawn walked in. the conversation died and everyone put their head down. as he walked away and we thought we were in the clear, he unexpectedly showed back up and started talking to natalie. awkward. anyways, amir and setareh had to leave, shawn agreed to give natalie, her boyfriend, and sarah a ride home in his new car, and kevin and i went to say hi to charlene. we left the learning center in high hopes that i would see david, as "i have a thing for david" and found to my great disappointment that he was not there. however, i heard vira's voice and decided to make it back to see her after her class got out. i stopped by to see if michelle was in, which she wasn't, and stuck my head in to say hi to michael and jose. we talked to vira for a while. we always have a good conversation. i also left with the names of a couple of movies she suggested i watch. soon after, we left campus. didn't think rene' would be there any later than 10, so i didn't make it a point to go by her office to see. neither did i get a phone call telling me that she would be there. so, i find out after i get back up here that hey, she was there until 1pm. oh well, there's always next time.

kevin had to work friday night and then we went to denny's. angelica and charlene were already there. natalie and them decided to go dancing at charlie's instead. shawn was waiting outside when we pulled in, and we followed amir and setareh a little ways and pulled in right behind them. then my friend tracey showed up and we had a full table. delores waited on us, and the singing waitress was there. we tried to get her to sing happy birthday, but they were hecka busy and although she found the time to go around and chat with people at the other tables, she couldn't squeeze time in to sing a short happy birthday to amir, or setareh? anyways, we still had a great time talking and eating, and watching amir put his dessert into his coffee. we disgusted angelica and she went to throw up. natalie and them came later, and she and i were cracking up at remembering old times when we suddenly realized that everyone else in the restaurant was quiet. we shut up and realized that one of the waitresses was crying. she had burnt herself with the hot fudge. ouch! boy did we feel like asses. but as cap't toe said, she couldn't have a complete visit without making a total ass out of herself. good night. great times. got home to visit a little bit with bryon and emily, who had arrived sometime a bit earlier. good to see them. and no, i didn't knock them down when i hugged them.

saturday was kevin's day off. we went to his niece's birthday party. she had turned 9 and had a finding nemo birthday party. lots of kids running around. it was fun watching them play. we had tacos--yummy! and stayed from around noon till almost a quarter after 6. i found it's quite entertaining watching people on pogo sticks, especially those that are too heavy to use them, heeheehee. we went for a walk, and the girls fell in "cow poop" that got all over their "white" sandals and legs.

got home just in time to have a homemade dinner. nana was there as well as emily and bryon. we ate pork chops with apples, spinach salad, stuffed potatoes (which were almost as good as the ones i made for valentime's), carrots, and homemade berry cobbler.

sunday, kevin had work in the morning. i made the no-bake cherry cheesecake, this time as separate little cheesecakes, and then sandykym came over for a visit and we ate food and watched spongebob. emily and bryon left to go back home and johnny got back from his sacramento trip. kevin got home from work and then his brother and ginny came over for dinner. mom made pot roast with carrots and potatoes and drop biscuits, and salad. another good meal made by mommy. she talked with ginny about wedding plans and helped give them ideas, while kym and i had a good time razzing johnny. after dinner, i painted kevin's toenails before everyone left. kym's dad came and picked her up and then stephen and ginny left. another good night, with good food, too.

monday morning, kevin and i woke up in time for us to grab breakfast at the college before his class. i got my favorite, hashbrowns with gravy and a scrambled egg, while kevin got biscuits and gravy, another excellent choice. we saw mr. vega again and again, i think he was stalking me, or at least following me around. then, before class, we went to see michelle and talked to her for a bit. on the way out, i said hi to janice and then went by to see connie and nikkie. connie wacked me upside the head while we joked about her violence against me and how she always has to pick on me (haha). it was great. nikkie was telling me about how david, mr. wise, and mr. osborne had called in earlier on their way to the march saying that they were riding together smoking cigars and wouldn't make it to school. while kevin was in class, i went over to the learning center to talk with charlene. we had a good conversation, and i found my sippie cup and charlene gave me one of my cup of noodles i had left behind. when kevin came, we went to subway and he even let me get one of each of the six cookies that were available. then, we went back home so we could pack up our stuff and tell mom bye before he took me to corcoran to the train station.

the train was kinda crowded. most of the seats were taken, but one of the cars was closed. lucinda missed the train, so hopefully she got back up here. the trip back didn't seem too bad. for one, i read a man named dave, the book that kevin had gotten for me. then, i got back up here and wendy came and picked me up and brought me back to our apartment.

nice weekend, it really was. i wouldn't have traded it for anything... now i'm just looking forward to spring break. ;)

MARK THIS DAY ON THE CALENDAR

OMG! he let us out early! he let us out early! HE LET US OUT EARLY!

RETURN OF THE BEDTIME STORY

When the boy with the hairy butt met the girl with the hair on the bottoms of her feet best friend, who also had hair on an odd place on her body, her palms. He fell head over heals for her but when she smiled and she had teeth the shade of baby poop he ran as fast as he could back to the girl with hair on the bottoms of her feet.
The end.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A GEEK I KNOW

yep, today is debby's birthday, if you didn't get it from the title. so if you see her, make sure to wish her a happy birthday and laugh at her cause she's old.

and debby, here's a little birthday story from me to you...

once upon a time, there was a bear. he was brown bear, and he was only a small bear. one day, he wanted to go swimming with his friends, the other bears, but his mommy wouldn't let him go out. he cried and cried and cried until his mommy finally agreed that he could go out and swim with the other bears. then, all of a sudden, there was a great thunderstorm and lots of rain. but just as suddenly as the rain started, it stopped. then, there was a great whirlpool and that was the end of the little bears...

have a happy birthday!
