just got back from spending the weekend in sac with julie. big campus. lots of people. big city.
went to old sac on friday after i arrived, then went back yesterday and also ate at one of the restaurants. although we took the bus, we walked all the way back to campus... you know how long that is? well, i don't, but it's a freaken long way away. lots of walking, my leg's still sore.
got to pet a wolf. now i want a pet wolf to go with my pet penguin.
saw a 427 cobra. thought of david... first time i've actually seen a cobra in person.
saw a banjo band, thought of david again... they even played sugar blues--with a harmonica solo--and our high school's fight song. cool, eh?
went bowling last night with julie's church friends. although i didn't bowl, it was fun.
met caiti for breakfast this morning in the dining commons. dang, their food is good. it was such a good change from top ramen, macaroni and cheese, and bologna sandwiches every day.
all in all it was a good, fun trip. not something i could do all the time cause it wore me out, but it was a nice change from sitting in my room doing nothing all the time.
so jules, thanks again for inviting me to sac to stay and for showing me around the city and stuff...
oh, and today is mr. richardson's birthday. happy birthday neighbor! :-D how great is that? having your birthday on feb. 29... that'd be kinda like getting married today... hmm...
latest teachings... wolves can jump 10 feet...
song lyric/quote of the moment... "...as soon as you're born you start dying... so you might as well, have a good time..." --cake
