my roommate bri, had a purse party today at her house, and wendy and i were among some of her friends who were able to attend. i had wendy wake me up this morning at 9:30am. yes, i actually woke up before noon! anyways, she snuck into my room, pressed the button on my alarm, and snuck out before i had the chance to open my eyes. when i got up, it was freakin' cold. i went out to the living room wrapped in a blanket and whined to her about how cold i was... like she could've done something about it... anyways... on our way, we stopped by the safeway so wendy could pick up a prescription, and got distracted by free sample food--cheesecake and egg nog. :) anyways, on our way driving to sonoma, we got lost and had to call bri for directions to her house. we got there, and as she had her car parked in front of the house next door, we went to the wrong door. luckily nobody lives there, and when no one answered the door, we went next door to her house. she took us around sonoma and showed us around. we ate sandwiches from this cheese place at the park, saw the ducks (one was so cute--it had a leaf stuck to it's belly), some wild chickens, but no chucks (half chicken half duck), which was quite disappointing. we looked at the mission and the slaves barracks and then she drove us around showing us around the town before going back to her place. we got ready for the party, which started around 4, and different girls came and went. no, i didn't buy anything. as i am not into purses, and they were quite expensive, it wasn't too difficult to refrain myself. however, i ate some food and had some hot apple cider. on our way home again, we got lost--again. but we eventually found our way back, and even though it's been really cold, i think we had a good day.
one more thing to note, i love bri's dog sadie. she did her tricks for us and when you point your finger at her and say bang, she falls over and puts her head down. it's so cute.
i enjoy spending time with my friends up here. it was fun having bri show us around her town and where she grew up. i also enjoy the times wendy and i are the only ones here and take our driving trips where we either take wrong turns or turn too soon and get lost. i know we will always eventually find our way, it is just a part of our adventures. i just wish i weren't so tired and cold...
